Here's the official terrible potato picture. Dat sound. Driven by some kid. Much jealously ensued.

Is that a woman in the passenger seat?
She better have sex with him.

I think that's a Testarossa. Didn't all the 512TRs have fixed headlights?

No, those are F512M's. 512TRs have rounder front facias and revised wheels. F512s have round taillights and fixed headlights.

The funny thing is there are Cadillacs that would rape that Ferrari in every way.

There will never be enough cocaine jokes for this car.

Ferrari naming is really irritating sometimes. Why drop the amazing name "Testarossa" for minor improvements? The TRs cost about twice as much, too.

For clarification about the plate question, I ask because I ran across a 512TR not too long ago up at this Döner bistro in Leesburg.

Maybe not Ferrari pretty, but I'd never call it ugly.

Sorry for the late reply. I spotted this in NW D.C., so it's probably the same car. The want before seeing/hearing one IRL was almost unbearable, but I now realize how incomplete my inner Sonny Crockett is.

The world: it is such a small place.
Personally, I prefer an early Testarossa, but I wouldn't say no to a 512TR. I'm a total sucker for 80s cars, they are all just so...different...from anything before or since. That weird mash of old-school and new-school just starting to get out of its diapers.

I love '80s cars so much, and just about no one understands it. The 80s were such a fantastic time for cars—personality before it was smothered by regulations, performance because of a limited amount of technology. Sure, they are "dated," And your friends will probably not be as impressed about an E28 535 as they would be about a new auto 320i, but dammit it doesn't matter and neither do run-on sentences.
By the way, are you on the DC-area Oppo email list? If not, send me an email at nickdezarn@hotmail.com if you want!
